As some of you know, I've been waiting, waiting, waiting for my next book to come out. It's been a long, unnecessarily painful saga, and I'm still not 100% sure that the book will be coming out in November as promised by my publisher. I'm not going to get into all that bullshit again, but I have been checking on the Amazon page for the book, waiting (always waiting!) for them to finally post the cover image for it. I check every day, and every day there's no cover image up there. Except today.
Yes, today Amazon finally posted a cover image for The Forever Knight. How exciting. How wonderful. Except, unbelievably, it's wrong. Instead, they posted a cover for a Tanya Huff book.
Please, someone tell me whose ass to kick.
Wow. I mean, just....wow.
ReplyDeleteThat's flat out ridiculous. Hope they get it fixed soon. I went ahead and pre-ordered it anyway.
ReplyDeleteOMG, someone is drinking on the job! I hope they fix that soon. Can you contact them and let them know or is it up to the publisher?
ReplyDeleteThats bullshit man. Sorry
ReplyDeleteThis is unreal... I reported the image to Amazon using the "update product info tag," along with the brief comment "Different title, different author, different book entirely" What an idiotic mistake...
ReplyDeleteWhat's next? The "View Inside" link renders an excerpt from a Goosebumps book? Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, John! It's a bit unkind, I suppose, but I do relish poking fun at the inept. :D
DeleteJust got a response from Amazon on my own image change request: "We've reviewed the following submissions and have made the decision to remove the inaccurate image for the following product. This change will appear within the next business day."
ReplyDeleteYou'll probably get the same reply, but I thought that I'd share.
Looks like they removed the incorrect image, but haven't yet put up a correct one.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything we should do to express our support for this book to come out in November? Should we email daw? I'm super excited for this book!!
