Avengers Vs. X-Men
It was issue #24.1, and if someone could please explain that bit of numbering to me I'd appreciate it. I haven't read an Avengers comic in ages, and the reason I picked this one up was solely because it has the Vision on the cover. A few months back I blogged about the Vision, and how you never see him in any Marvel cartoons. Why? Everyone else seems to make an appearance on TV, but never the Vision. That's a shame, because if there's one thing I enjoy more than reading comic books, it's watching superhero cartoons.
Anyway, issue #24.1 was good enough to hold my interest to the end, and might just be good enough to have me picking up the next one. For one thing Emma Frost was in it, and I loves me some Emma Frost. But what really matters is that it's a lead-in to the upcoming Avengers vs. X-Men series. My local comic book shop is holding a special launch event for "AvX" this Tuesday night, which I plan to check out. I'm lucky to live close to one of the best comic book shops on Long Island. They have events like this one throughout the year, with guest writers and artists and good sales on everything in the store. Really, there's not much better than walking into a great comic book shop with some extra spending money. The only problem is the selection--too many great books and not enough time to read them.
Just out of curiously, if you had to pick a winning side, which would it be--Avengers or X-Men? I'll say Avengers. Anyone with the Hulk on their side has pretty much got it sewn.
